ALLISON FRANCIS
Allison is a founding member of The Curtainbox Theater Co. Allison grew up in Southern, California near San Diego. Allison attended the Idyllwild Arts academy, a prestigious and selective boarding school for the performing arts where she studied musical theater. Upon graduating from Idyllwild she earned her BFA in Stage management at Chapman University in Orange, CA, where she won the American College Theater Festival Meritorious Achievement Award in Stage Management for "The Bacchae" as well as the Stamos Award for Technical Theater. Allison went on to work with Martin Benson, Artistic Director of the South Coast Repertory Theater in Costa Mesa, CA and then on to Shakespeare Orange County. She also spent time with The California Center for the Arts, Escondido, where she worked on the National Touring companies of Guys and Dolls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Marvin Hamlisch in Concert and Winton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, to name a few. From there, Allison went on to earn her Masters Degree in Stage Management at the University of California at San Diego in association with La Jolla Playhouse. While at the Playhouse she had the privilege of working with Artistic Director, Michael Greif on the Tony Award Winning West Coast Premiere production of RENT, Starring Neil Patrick Harris, as well as Tony Award winner Julie Taymor's production of THE GREEN BIRD. Allison made her way to Los Angeles where she focused her energies toward the film industries. Allison stage managed several shows at the Falcon Theater in Burbank, CA. Working with director, Garry Marshall on his original productions of WRONG TURN AT LUNGFISH and the musical version of HAPPY DAYS. Allison has over 17 years of practical production experience ranging from feature film animation, television and advertising, live theatre/special events to Brand management. Most recent related experience includes the animated feature film, THE SIMPSONS MOVIE, as well as producing for advertising agencies and animatics companies, not to mention 3 seasons of 'Live from the Red Carpet' awards shows covering everything from the Golden Globes to the Academy Awards with E! Entertainment Television & the Style Network. Allison is currently living near San Francisco working at Imagemovers Digital, a production studio responsible for the performance capture films of Robert Zemeckis.
