MIKE SCHULZ
Mike Schulz earned a B.A. from Augustana College in 1990, majoring in English and Theatre, with stage roles including Austin in True West, Peter Stockmann in An Enemy of the People, and the Stage Manager in Our Town. He has served as the Arts Editor and Calendar Editor for the Quad Cities' independent newspaper, the River Cities' Reader, since 2005, and the paper's movie reviewer since 1995. Prior to his full-time Reader tenure, Mike spent 11 years as a member of the Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse's performing wait staff, the Bootleggers, and appeared in more than two dozen professional productions, including Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Almighty Bob, and A Night on Broadway. Following his recent retirement from theatre-reviewing -- Mike served as the Reader''sresident area-theatre critic from 2005 to 2009 -- he has appeared in the Curtainbox's Fool for Love (which marked his debut with the company), the Prenzie Players' Cyrano de Bergerac, and the Curtainbox's June production of Art.
